[tn-bird] Ducks Arrive

Sunday, September 22, 2002
Duck River Unit of Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge (Humphrey Co., TN)
4-6pm

A quick run to the Duck River Unit of the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge
turned up an unexpectedly high diversity of duck species. Besides the large
numbers of Wood Ducks, Blue-winged Teal, Mallard and Canada Geese, there were
also Green-winged Teal, Gadwall, Northern Pintail, American Wigeon and a single
American Black Duck. Pretty nice diversity for September!

Good Birding,
