[TN-Bird] Disoriented, sick(?) mourning dove??

Just a few minutes ago, a mourning dove here in the Charlotte Park section
of West Nashville was displaying some very unusual behavior which I've never
observed before. It was moving around and around in a circle and going
backwards. It was falling down, trying to keep its balance by extending its
wings
and flopping around. Although other doves were around, it did not appear to
be threatened. It acted more disoriented and out of control. It finally
flew a few feet and repeated the behavior some more. Finally, it gained
enough
"steam" to clear the deck rail and fly out of sight accompanied by two other
doves. It appeared to be an adult, not a wobbly youngster. Other doves are
playing their chasing games and other usual "dove things," but this bird
just didn't seem "right." I've never seen any bird act like that before.
Bird
flu? Nerve disorder? Do you have any ideas? All the other doves seem
"normal."
