Hi Terry,
I agree it is early. But Jean and I were both confident of the ID,
and it's in the same place one was seen and heard last year.
We tried to see it, but did not want to go off the trails, as there
are new signs up asking visitors to follow that rule. As is typical
for this species in migration, it was in an area of quite dense
undergrowth with a full canopy up above. There was also water
nearby.
In general, migrants seem to be moving early in East Tennessee.
