Chattanooga, TN.
Hamilton Co.
Amnicola Hwy. (Hwy.319)

I've been wondering a couple days if I should enter this discussion about
Collard Doves and their proximity to railroad tracks? Guess What! The
largest
concentration of regularly seen birds in Chattanooga are also seen along the
power lines and railroad tracks here as well. Especially the colony just off
Amnicola Hwy.

About two weeks back I found another colony with 40+ birds two blocks off
McCalley Ave. These birds at first glance appear to congregate at the Electric
Power Board shop office. This is also in a residential neighborhood. The
Humane Society is only a block away. I have began to wonder if this colony has
developed a preference to dog food as a food source. BUT, the railroad tracks
are only 6 blocks away...

I started to not post because I type like a dinosaur and it's time for me to
leave for work. If anyone would like better directions just drop me a line
and I will answer later tonight.
