[TN-Bird] Chickamauga Lake- Hiwassee River shorebirds +

TVA terrestrial zoology intern Erin Schiding and I birded the Hiwassee River 
section of Chickamauga Lake in Meigs, Bradley and McMinn Counties, TN 
(Delorme Atlas and Gazetteer page 25) on January 18, 2007 from 10:06 am to 
2:30 pm.  Chickamauga Lake elevation on January 18 was 676.19 feet which 
exposed a great deal of mudflats.  Below are highlights (not all species are 
mentioned; all shorebirds mentioned) from each stop made along the Hiwassee 
River.

Old Lower River Road mudflats
