[TN-Bird] Chattanooga RBA #30

Three WHITE PELICANS were seen on Chickamauga Lake between Chester Frost ST
PK and Harrison Bay ST PK on November 7. (Nelson Bennett)

The StandiferGap marsh continues to produce good birds.  Virginia Rails are
still being heard and seen and Sora were present at least up until November
3.  American Pipit were seen on November 6 and a late Tennessee Warbler was
seen on November 7. (David Patterson)

I (Kevin Calhoon) had 9 sparrow species in a couple of hours in Hamilton co.
on November 4:

Standifer Gap Marsh
2 Lincoln's
4 Vesper
2 Fox (first report of fall for our area)
Song
Savannah
White-throated
Field
Swamp

Amnicola Marsh
4 im. White-crowned

Sandhill Cranes are beinning to gather at the Hiwassee refuge area with 52
in the area on November 4 (Doug Geren) and100 present on November 6. (David
Aborn)  112 Hooded Mergansers were at Blythe Ferry on Novmeber 4. (Doug
Geren)

Be on the lookout for more fall migrants and also the first winter residents
of the year.

The next general meeting of the Chattanooga TOS will be on November 14 at
7:00
PM at the Accension Luthern Church 720 South Germantown Road.
