David Patterson reports a pair of Willow Flycatchers back breeding at Standifer Gap Marsh again this year. For exact directions to the nest contact David. Laura Lewis reported a late migrant male Blackburnian Warbler outside her window at the Cherokee National Forest headquarters in Cleveland (Bradley co.) on June 2. Some other late migrants include a singing Swainson's Thrush along Ochs highway on Lookout Mountain on May 29 and a singing Blue-headed Vireo along Lookout Creek also on May 29. (Kevin Calhoon) The results for the National Migration Count in Hamilton county on May 14 have finally been tallied and 135 species were record. Below average, but not too bad for how late the count was in May this year.
