Up on Lookout Mountain this morning I saw a male Eastern Towhee perched on
top of a bush. Much to my surprise, it began singing a perfect Carolina Wren
song! It continued the wren song for about 20 minutes and then sang the
towhee song for the rest of the morning. I have never seen any reports of
towhees being mimics. I wonder what else is in their repertoire!
