Hi All,
Cades Cove Sewage Lagoons
Blount County
Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Friday, February 25, 2005
I spent today trying to track a bear with Katie Settlage, a bear
researcher from UT. We were in the Cades Cove area, so on my way
home I figured I'd stop at the lagoon to see what was about. I was
only there about 10 minutes because I had an evening engagement.
43 Bufflehead (personal high number there)
1 Redhead
14 Mallards
2 Wood Ducks
26 Canada Geese
1 Wilson's Snipe
Earlier in the day I had a single Black-capped Chickadee on Hannah
Mountain Trail very close to its intersection with Parson's Branch Road.
