[TN-Bird] CTOS fieldtrip to Brainerd Levee on October 22, Hamilton CO, TN

Ten participants on the CTOS trip to the Brainerd Levee on Sunday
October 22 suited up in hip or chest waders (an excellent number for
this fieldtrip) and waded portions of the marsh looking for sparrows and
other marsh birds.  66 species were observed and the highlights
included:
 

(6 species of sparrows)

6 LINCOLN'S SPARROW - One of the higher counts for this species ever in
SE TN

6 Marsh Wren

2 Sedge Wren

1 Sora

2 Gadwall

1 Lesser Yellowlegs

2 American Coot

1 Sharp-shinned Hawk

4 Tree Swallows

10 Chimney Swifts

50+ Tennessee Warbler

1 Brown-headed Nuthatch - (the first time I have seen this species at
the levee)

1 Dark-eyed Junco - (the first time I have seen this species at the
levee)
