Brainerd Levee, Chattanooga

American Bittern, 1, flushed at edge of marsh near mile marker 1.4 around 11:00
AM, flew about 200 feet and landed at edge of marsh, out of sight.

Green-winged Teal, 6, behind Buchanan school.

Cooper's Hawk, 1 immature, landed in low bushes 20 feet from us, and allowed us
to approach within 10 feet and watch a long time while it tried to see where
all the little birds had gone.

Brown Creeper, 1, woods near 1.6 marker

Hermit Thrush, 2, woods near 1.6 marker

Common Yellowthroat, 1 female, edge of marsh near 1.4 marker ( We were watching
the Yellowthroat when we flushed up the Bittern.)
