This will be the first Thanksgiving I've actually spent in Tennessee.
Most of the last 8 or so I've spent chasing birds in New England.
Each of the last 3 I've gone on Rambo missions trying to find my life
Bohemian Waxwing. Last year I spent about 8 hours driving through
some "sure spots" in northern New Hampshire, trying not to get lost
in a snow drift. Then, 2 weeks after returning to TN, I read about
one of the biggest Bohemian invasions in many years. Hrmph. I did
get to see Spotted Towhee and Varied Thrush on that trip, though, so
not all was lost.
It would be quite ironic if one were to show it's face around here.
btw, if anyone finds one in this state and gets me on it, I'll
happily buy you dinner!
Charlie
