Greene County: Paint Creek Recreation Area (PCRA), including Paint Creek Pond 
(PCP); Paint Mountain (PM); Lick Creek Bottoms Wildlife Management Area unit at 
intersection of Highway 348, North Mohawk Road, and South Mohawk Road 
(LCBWMA-348/MR) 

Highlights from a couple of hours in the Paint Creek / Paint Mountain area this 
morning and another couple at LCBWMA-348/MR this afternoon, as well as a little 
time spent in Greeneville and elsewhere: 

Wood Duck (5--3 PCP, 2 LCBWMA-348/MR) 

Cooper's Hawk 
Red-tailed Hawk (13) 

Wilson's Snipe (3 LCBWMA-348/MR) 
American Woodcock (LCBWMA-348/MR) 

Eurasian Collared-Dove (adjacent to West Greene High School) 

Eastern Screech-Owl (Greeneville) 

Eastern Phoebe (15) 

Blue-headed Vireo (8 PCRA, PM) (a personal early date) 

Tree Swallow (9) 

Winter Wren (PCRA) 

Golden-crowned Kinglet (13, mostly PCRA) 
Ruby-crowned Kinglet (2 PCRA) 

Hermit Thrush (2--1 PCP, 1 LCBWMA-348/MR) 

Pine Warbler (5 PCRA, etc.) 
Louisiana Waterthrush (2 PCRA) (a personal early date) 

Chipping Sparrow (7) 
Savannah Sparrow 
Swamp Sparrow (2 LCBWMA-348/MR) 

Rusty Blackbird (28 LCBWMA-348/MR)
