Birders,
On my way back to my car yesterday from the Wednesday morning walk at Radnor
Lake, I spotted a Black-throated Blue Warbler about a foot over my head
gobbling a batch of newly hatched termites. That is the closest view I have
ever had of this bird and he ignored me completely-guess the termites were more
interesting. All of us on the walk saw the termite hatch and the Waxwings were
feasting on them all over the place. The Black-throated was about half a city
block from the site of the hatch.
