This afternoon at Chester Frost County Park I found a female Black Scoter
associating with Pied-billed Grebes. To see the bird continue past the left
turn to the campground/Ranger office, and take the first left into a picnic
area. The bird spent the afternoon at this location with Pied-billed Grebes.
While watching the scoter, Brown-headed Nuthatches, E Bluebirds, Palm Warbler,
and Pine Warbler were seen.
Ruddy ducks, Canvasback, Redheads, Buffleheads, Mallards, and one male Northern
Pintail duck was also seen in the park. These birds were located at the first
left turn after entering the park. The Pintail was associating with the
Mallards.
