I have about one acre in Ooltewah, TN not far off Interstate 75. The habitat has remained somewhat consistent for a few years here. This year for the first time, a mockingbird has made its nest in my arbor near the patio. That area seems to be absolutely right for several species for nesting. The robins come back every year and are currently raising their third brood for this season. The blue birds came back and have raised one family. And outside my bedroom window, I had to look to see who was singing so beautifully. It's a mother cardinal sitting on her nest just singing with joy. I didn't know they did that. It is the first time I have seen a "setting" female bird singing.
