They aren't in "bird-book" order, but here are my nesting and otherwise resi=
dent birds this year (in and immediately adjacent to my property)=2E When I =
finally wrote it down, I was impressed with the diversity=2E

Our little country lane may also have a loggerhead shrike (I spotted a verrr=
y peculiar-looking mockingbird fm a distance=2E=2E=2E), plus I heard bobwhit=
e from time to time in April, but nothing this month=2E

My nephew and I walked the big trees loop at Joyce Kilmer yesterday, then dr=
ove over the Cherohala Skyway=2E We heard or saw Red-eyed vireo, Blue-headed=
 vireo, Cerulean warbler, Chestnut-sided warbler (almost came up and shook h=
ands with us when I pished), Black-throated green warbler, Black-throated bl=
ue, Hooded warbler, Pine warbler, Golden-crowned kinglet, Catbird, and Veery=2E=
