[TN-Bird] Re: Birding at Edgar Evins State Park

Kevin,

Interesting behavior you observed. I saw something
similar on my wooded property in Macon County a few
years ago: a fledgling Kentucky Warbler sidled up to
a Worm-eating Warbler I was watching on a low branch
and began making noisy, wing-beating "feed me"
gestures. For a second, I thought it might get fed,
but the Worm-eating looked at it, with seeming
disregard, and flew off, with the Kentucky in pursuit.

Has anyone else seen this and is there and documented
reasoning for such behavior?
