At 4:30 - 5:00 pm this afternoon the 2 Whooping Cranes were still present at
the Bells Bend site, and were entertaining several viewers with their
courtship dancing. According to a close neighbor they had just re-appeared
after
being absent for several days. The neighbor said a friend of his had seen them
during that time in a field on the River Road side, the other side of the
Cumberland River from Bells Bend.
One female Northern Harrier was also seen from the crane viewing spot.
