[TN-Bird] Bell's Bend Park Inventory

Bell's Bend Park
Nashville-Davidson County, TN

25 September 2009

Three participants, LinnAnn Welch, Ed Schneider and Kevin Bowden
participated in today's Bird Inventory at Bell's Bend Park in western
Nashville-Davidson County.

We observed a large number of Red-winged Blackbirds that flew overhead and
landed in several trees near the Outdoor Center. One raptor flew in low and
perched very far off, making its identification difficult. However, later in
almost the same spot, we got a got look at an American Kestrel, so that is
likely the same bird we had seen earlier. Common Yellowthroats were
plentiful with some still singing.
