[TN-Bird] Bellevue Brewer's

Over the weekend the Harpeth River in Bellevue on the southwest side
of Nashville overflowed its banks once again.  Since my house is on a
manmade bluff only 100 yards or so from the river I had a front row 
seat.  In the 6 years I have lived in Bellevue, I found that the river
floods at least a couple times each year, but this is the highest 
flood level that I have seen on the river.  Indeed, the closing of 
flooded Old Harding Road, just a half mile from where I live, made the
evening news.   

The flooding Harpeth River produced a bumper crop of sparrows and
blackbirds at our feeders.  On Sunday afternoon, I looked out my front
window and saw a blackbird with a yellow eye.  I quickly picked up my
binoculars and found myself staring at a BREWER'S BLACKBIRD, a new
bird to add to my slowly increasing yard list.
