February 28, 2007 At Kinser Park (KP) and nearby areas in and around Greeneville this morning: Wood Duck (KP) Osprey (KP) Bald Eagle (immature, KP) Sharp-shinned Hawk (KP) Tree Swallow (5, KP, etc.) Brown Creeper (Greeneville) Fox Sparrow (Greeneville) The Bald Eagle was being harried by the Osprey in an aerial show that lasted for a couple of minutes and which was highly impressive. This is the first personal February record I have for BAEA in Greene County and only my fourth sighting overall. The other three were in September. (Greene County has little suitable habitat for this species.)
