While banding at Seven Islands Wildlife Refuge on Tuesday, May 24, we
caught 2 bald birds. A Song Sparrow and a Northern Cardinal.
Both birds appeared healthy in all other regards. I am accustomed to
looking for mites, lice, etc because of the ATBI work I do at
Tremont, but neither bird appeared to have any ecto parasites on it's
head.
