[TN-Bird] BTGN Warbler

Woohoo! Went out to fill up the feeders and take the dogs out
before work this morning (Tues, 28 March 2006) and heard the
"Chitty-chitty-bang-bang" secondary song of a Black-throated
Green Warbler. He stayed around long enough for me to finish
with the feeders and go back in for the binoculars. He was
foraging around in our still-blooming wild cherry tree then went
over to the neighbors' Virginia Pines.

This is the earliest BTGN record for our yard (which is in
west Knox Co., by the way) since we moved in just over 4 years
ago. Our previous early date was 3 April.

Third warbler of the year here with Yellow-rumps and Pine. The
Palm Warblers that have overwintered in the neighborhood the last
three years were never seen this winter.
