On Saturday's (5/9/09) Intenational Migratory Bird Count for Anderson County we
discovered a singing Swainson's Warbler near Oak Ridge. From road along
backside (north side) of Oak Ridge (Outer Drive) take Key Springs road cut
through to Highway 61. Before reaching Highway 61 at bottom of hill (and
before small bridge) take right on road that parallels Brushy Fork Creek.
Shortly after the Y (right looks like a private road), go left part way up the
incline -stop and listen-look to the left side. Also seen or heard along this
stretch or nearby were Kentucky, Hooded and Norhtern Waterthrush.
