I have a question about American Woodcocks? I have only been a serious
birdwatcher for a few years, and this is my first sighting ever of an
American Woodcock. There was one in my backyard on 2/21/06 at about 10 pm. I
was so amazed at the new yard bird, but, when I consulted my bird books, I
found that it is here only in the summer. My question is.Is it normal for
them to return to this area this early?
Thank you,
Linda Lynch
