[TN-Bird] Additional NTOS October Field Trip - This Saturday, Ellington Agricultural Center

This Saturday, October 22nd, the Nashville chapter of TOS will be
holding a field trip to Ellington Agricultural Center in Nashville.
 

The Ag Center has recently built a number of  trails through the area,
with a diversity of habitats (woods, grass, edge), and is already
developing an impressive list of species seen.

 

We will meet at 7:00 am at the Iris Garden parking lot.  The field trip
will be a morning-only event.

 

Directions:

 

From Franklin/Brentwood area:  I-65 Northbound - :  Exit on Old Hickory
Blvd West (Brentwood) - proceed to next light (Franklin Pike), turning
right (north) on Franklin Pike approx 1.5 miles to intersection with
Otter Creek Rd/Hogan Rd. (Otter Creek goes left (west) to Radnor Lake,
Hogan Road is on the right(east)).  There are signs to Ellington
Agricultural Center.

 

From Nashville:  I-65 Southbound- Exit on Harding Road West, proceed to
next light (Franklin Pike), turning south on Franklin Pike, 1 mile to
intersection with Otter Creek Rd/Hogan Rd. (Otter Creek goes right
(west) to Radnor Lake, Hogan Road is on the left(east)).  There are
signs to Ellington Agricultural Center.

 

Take Hogan Road east 1 mile to Ellington Ag Center - entrance is
continuation of Hogan Road.  Make immediate right after passing through
gate, Iris Garden Parking Lot is  1/10 mile on right, before the road
climbs hill, and faces Methodist Church across the street.
