[TN-Bird] AOS Declines TOS Fall Meet Invitation

The Alabama Ornithological Society informed the Tennessee Ornithological 
Society, Wednesday, that the AOS would not be able to meet jointly with TOS 
Oct. 8-9-10 at Cookeville, TN.
"We thank you for your most generous offer.  It appears that many 
 people have already made alternate plans after the meeting [AOS Fall Meeting]  
was cancelled," wrote AOS President Bob Reed.  

Reed went on to explain that AOS would have difficulty getting the announcement 
to all of its members at this late date. A significant number of members do not 
have e-mail.  The AOS membership was notified by mail one week ago that its 
fall meeting at Dauphin Island, AL had been cancelled due to hurricane damage.

Reed said the TOS invitation was being sent out on every email list available 
and there will probably be several people from Alabama who will attend the TOS 
Fall Meeting.
