I stopped at a couple spots mid-morning to see if there was anything but heat
shimmer on the lake.
Hamilton Creek Boat Ramp
Eastern Screech Owl calling unsolicited at 10:30
13 Black Terns way offshore
lots of heat shimmer
Percy Priest Dam Overlook
4 Forster's Terns sitting on buoys
1 Pied-billed Grebe
a bunch of cormorants in the rookery at Nashville Shores
70+ black vultures hanging out on the grass below the overlook with some
harassing the Canada Geese
lots of heat shimmer
Nothing but fishermen below the dam
Good birding!
