[TN-Bird] 6 Whooping Cranes at Hiwassee, Meigs Co, other southeast Tenn

Mike Nelson and I visited the Hiwassee Refuge in Meigs County today. At
first, in the fog and rain, we saw about 3000 SANDHILL CRANES, a several
MALLARDs and GADWALL and 5 GREAT EGRETs. The rain let up every so often,
and the fog lifted as we saw first one, then 4 and finally a total of
SIX WHOOPING CRANEs.
Also present were 10 SNOW GEESE and one ROSS'S GOOSE, plus 1 NORTHERN
HARRIER.
Nothing else of note...

At Booker T Washington State Park in Hamilton County we saw 4 COMMON
LOONS and several PIED-BILLED GREBEs, 2 BONAPARTE'S GULLs.

At the riverwalk at Amnicola Marsh in Chattanooga there were many HOODED
MERGANSERs, GADWALL, NORTHERN SHOVELERs, MALLARDs and a few GREEN-WINGED
TEAL.

At Standifer Gap Marsh, there were again a large number of GADWALL, plus
GREEN-WINGED TEAL, 3 WOOD DUCKs, NORTHERN SHOVELERs, MALLARDs, and one
AMERICAN BLACK DUCK. We heard one SORA and possibly another rail.
