[TN-Bird] 59 Upland Sandpipers - TN-AR-MS

Took a half day off and after seeing a couple of Uplands at Ensley  
yesterday, decided to try a few fields for "shoe-button" eyed, long-tails.
 
After a pass through the "pits" in Memphis with no success, I dropped below 
 the state line into MS and hit the jack pot with birds found in 6 
locations and  a total of 46 birds (3-13-4-4-19-3) High number 19 in one field 
and 2 
groups of  4 each on the levee. I crossed the bridge into Arkansas, near  
Clarksdale I counted 278 Lesser Golden-Plover with quite a few in breeding  
plumage but and off to one end of this bunch were 11 Uplands. Back  across 
the bridge to Memphis and another round at the "Pits", I finally  located 
probably the same two I had flushed yesterday. An "uppie"  day.
