[TN-Bird] Re: 1987 Snowy Owl

Chris has commented in a previous post on the last Snowy Owl recorded in
Tennessee, that being, January 5-February 6, 1987. The bird was originally
found by John Robertson, then assistant manager at Cross Creeks NWR, as he
crossed the Cumberland River bridge in the Barkley WMA at Dover. It is
interesting what the owl ate. John says, "Owl pellets cast by this bird were
analyzed and found to contain remains of a Pied-billed Grebe, prairie vole,
a duck the size of a Mallard and an American Coot."
