CTRL-alt-del doesn't work from the console? Have you tried Ctrl + F2
from a hung session?
Once again, no event errors can be associated with the time that this
hang up occurs?=20
If running task manager from a session or a console as an admin when a
user session gets hung up on login, do you notice any particular process
from the hung session continuously using memory or processor resources?=20
Can the start of this issue be traced back to any server config changes,
or new software installation to the TS servers? Or has this issue been a
problem since the original time of installation?
Have you tried logging in with a new profile for either admins or users
who've been having this problem a lot?
Does the same thing happen over an RDP connection? (I would assume so
since it happens at the console, but it never hurts to check)
Just giving you some possible ways to go here. I've seen similar lock
ups on older TSE installations, not newer win2k servers.=20

No can do. Since the login process does not complete , I can't bring up
anything. It's as if the system is hung. Since there is no taskbar and
CTRL-ALT-DEL won't work, I can't get to Task Mgr.

As a work around, you should be able to get to the desktop from both a
session and from the console by launching task manager and starting up a
new process of explorer.exe.
You've got no event errors from the app or system logs at the time of
these login hangs?

Hi All,
On a W2K SP2 XPe FR2 system, we occassionaly get strange lockups. Users
and admins will get the login prompt, but once the credentials are
entered,
all you get is either the MF logo (for remote users) or a blue screen
(not
BSOD) if logging on locally at the console. It's as if the login
procedure
is not passing off to the rest of the system.
Any ideas?
