[THIN] Re: thin Digest V1 #278

Is this a name resolution issue...is the ESN server setup with the WINS
server addresses? Is you DNS 2K based? If so, is it set up to use WINS
lookups?

Hi guys,

Wondered if anyone could help me with Enterprise Services for NFuse (1.7).

Currently I have setup NFuse with Project Columbia, CSG, RSA SecurId & SSL
to provide a secure web-based access point for our remote workers. But to be
able to sell this to more of the business, we needed a solution which could
aggregate remote farms/domains - enter ESN.

My problem is this - I have two XPe farms. One is a NT4 domain, the other
Win 2k AD, but in this scenario all of the XPe servers are running on Win 2k
regardless of domain.

The AD domain is ok - I can log on and see the apps fine. The NT domain
however, although ESN can show the applications after adding the farm,
cannot resolve the domain name and therefore there is no way of entering
credentials for that domain!

Just in case this was a firewall/router issue, I rebuilt ESN on a server in
the NT domain. Once again, I can see the AD domain, but not the NT domain.

The strange thing though is the way that ESN _can_ see the apps which means
the XML service must be working at least in a fashion.

I have even built a new XP server to rule out any issues we may have caused
ourselves by cloning. Does anyone have any clues??? I'm at a complete loss

Cheers
