THis is how it is by default in AD. All your clients internally sync to the
PDC emulator and only the PDC emulator syncs externally. There is a W32time
documents from MS's site that explains how to make other
servers/workstations aside from the PDC emulator an authorative time source.

Folks,

Can you not set the PDC emulator to be the authoritative time source for
the domain, and just set every other machine to sync to it?

IE. not use an external time source...?

There are several articles on this. A good place to start is
Windows2000mag.com and do a search.

The basics is this, the DCs should sync to the PDC emulator. The PDC em
can sync externally to like the Naval observatory, etc.

I'm converting from NT to 2000 and one of my error messages is about a
time
server. Can someone shed some light on a fix for this or tell me how or
where I can connect to a time server.=3D20
