Enable user environment debug logging to find out where the exact delay is.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/221833

If your MetaFrame servers aren't connected to your DC's and your profile
share (assuming you're using roaming profiles), that's not the most
desirable configuration, and you should expect delays based on your
bandwidth.

Subject: [THIN] ntuser.pol

When a user logins on a W2000 TSE/Citrix server authenticating to a W2000 DC
with group policy
via a WAN interface (256 Kbit), applying personal settings can take a very
long time (minutes).

It looks like te creation of the ntuser.pol is causing this problem, it just
takes
a long time before this file is created.

Any idea (timeouts ?) what is causing this ? And how to solve it ?

Thanks.

Jan
