On the same subject, I found out that my NFuse does not have the bitmap
cache set for the Published Application. My users say it is faster with it
turned on. How do you turn on the bitmap cache for NFuse Published
Applications? Can you still do it on the client with Program Neighborhood?
Thanks.

On the client side, try clearing the bitmap cache for the ICA client (as
opposed to IE's bitmap cache). I've seen this several times before. What
happens is that the local machine is searching for the character bitmap in
its cache to display that before downloading from the server. If the local
cache is sufficiently large, it takes more time than it would have been to
download from the server.

Hope this helps.

Metaframe 1.8, FR2 on TSE SP 6, with Office 2000.

Whenever I type in a file open or file save as dialog
box the characters are displayed VERY slowly, almost 2
seconds for each character to display. This is
frustrating if you're typing a long filename/path.
I've noticed it in all Office apps using the Citrix
web or 6.20.986 full client. Interesting, I don't see
the delay if typing a path for mapping a drive in
Windows Explorer.

Suggestions, please? Thanks!
