You could put in \\servername\bjones$ <file://\\servername\bjones$> in the
server path... If you put in \\servername\%username%$
<file://\\servername\%username%$> you'll get an error regarding the
directory...

Since your use a GPO, that must mean your running AD and WTS... In which
case you could map to a directory under a share..
\\servername\users$\%username% <file://\\servername\users$\%username%>
This will accomplish the samething as individually sharing each directory
and it will make management of users/shares much easier to manage.

I just did a folder redirection within a group policy for the My Documents
folder to point to their personal drive.

Another question not totally related to terminal services but since I
discovered the problem while working with TS I figured I would asked here.

We have our user's personal shares setup as hidden
shares...\\servername\username$, I'm finding that putting
\\server\%username%$ <file://\\server\%username%$> or
\\servername\%username$% <file://\\servername\%username$%> is not
working...is there ay trick to this when having these hidden shares as the
profile path? I can only do it if the hidden share is defined, ie.,
\\servername\d$\%username% <file://\\servername\d$\%username%>

Add the ts home directory path to the user's profile in AD.

I situation is as such:

I have a group of 5 users who all are going to be using the same profile
named office.man. This profile gives access to the suite of office apps. I
want each user of this profile to have their personal directory mapped
automatically from our file server when they log in. Since they all use the
same profile how can I accomplish this? The end goal as well is to have
each office application default for open and save to the user's personal
drive.

I'm also going to need this group to have department shares automatically
mapped when the log in.

Thank you,
