But if the (MS) licences were OSL, Select or similar - then they are not
transferable unless the new owner has the same company registration details
as before.

We had this (albeit in UK) last year when a sister company went down.  Their
MOLP licences could not be transferred to us.  Damn and blast!

If the company is in a UCITA state it wont legally transfer.

a legal question..

When a company goes bankrupt, and a new investor buys its assests, what 
is the status of the software licences, are they owned by the new 
company, are they void? Most specifically Microsoft and Citrix licences.
