[THIN] Re: installer stopping/starting

Check the Application Log for MsiInstaller events. They are generally 
descriptive enough to tell you what is missing.

Bad office installations can cause office apps to run the installer to attempt 
repair.  So this may be a symptom.  Used
to see that all the time with Office 95/2000/XP - but haven't really seen it on 
2003 (but maybe I'm lucky).

Ok, maybe this is the cause of all my problems BUT the Installer service is 
constantly starting and stopping on certain
servers.  Installer was sent a start control and then a bit later shuts down.  
Anyone else think this is the cause of my
problems????????
