Thanks for your response Neil, very much appreciated. Flex Profile Kit V3 or Citrix Hybrid o r TriCerat simp lified profiles The only one I've used and messed around with is the flex profile kit. And for what it is, especially for people already not shy of scripting, and tailored user environments, I think it's a worthy grouping of files that's most helpful. I think the irony of it is that it was likely around for a while (office profile wizard) then some bright spark thought of combining it with mandatory profiles, and using it for things other than office. Personally, as it stands, I don't have to currently provide that functionality - I can get away with using mandatory profiles, and doing per-user customisations on-the-fly with GPOs and scripts. But if I had to provide some user-customisable settings, it's the first thing I'd use, if I needed too, simply because it's a no-cost option. If that aspect became such a big thing that the flex profile kit was becoming unwieldy for, I'd have to consider two things: are mandatory profiles still valid; and / or whether the commercial solutions would be a better fit. As to the CCS thing, I think Ron knows that quite well. I don't know anything about the Tricerat one. I think it's always the case with these things - there's the enthusiasts method - just fine if you are happy with the mechanism and aren't new to it, and the commercial ones for where better accountability is required, or a handover of support, or where the commercial solutions are more robust and high-end.
