[THIN] datastore / license server maintenance interaction with MOM

we are using MOM to monitor the organization including the Citrix servers.

from time to time we need to start or stop various services ie licensing ,
sql etc

this usually results in a flood of MOM alerts stating that server x has
lost contact with the datastore or the license server etc.

to work around this i have used mominfo.exe from the MOM 2005 resource kit
with the syntax

mominfo.exe /maintenancemode:1800 /Server:servername with 1800 equating to
30 mins.

This works very well but is crude and i have multiple farms. can any one
help me acheive the following ?

a vbs app which presents a list of which farm datastore you want to work on
or license server and then prompts how long you wish the maintenance mode
duration

ideally it would give a visual indicator of success / failure.

it would also help in those rare occasions that datastore or license server
is unavailable
