[THIN] Re: cannot open word attachment when using Outlook as a published app

Hi Rob,

Close.

Had this before. With roaming profiles, if you exclude the temporary
internet files directory, in some scenarios it doesn't get recreated
until internet explorer is run.

Since Outlook has it's secure directory under the temporary internet
files directory, if it's not there, you can't save attachments. If
Outlook is running as a published app then this is certainly a
possibility.

What we do is add a line in usrlogon.cmd:

if not exist "%userprofile%\temporary internet files" md
"%userprofile%\temporary internet files"

regards,

Rick

        Greetings,
I have one server - MF XPe FR3 on Windows 2000 SP4 that does not
allow me to open a word attachment in Outlook 2000. This works on the
other identical servers and I have look and look and look and .........
but nothing. Anyone know of something obvious that I can look into real
quick. Thanks.
