No, you make the registry change on the server your trying to map to.
You don't need to change your DNS and/or DCs.

Importance: High
I assume this must be done on the PDC and all BDCs?
I have Win2k Servers with AD running

Subject: [THIN] basic dns question
Hi,
I have a server w2k3 "toto1" in a NT domaine "dodo1"
when I do a net use z: \\ toto1\d$ works fine.
Now I create a alias in the dns for toto1 and name it "tutu2". I can ping
tutu2 no problem, I get a reply from toto1.
But when I try to map "net use z: \\ tutu2\d$" it just doesn't work!
Can anyone help me here?
Nicolas
