If I used the ICA dos client, would I then have to buy additional TS = client licenses? I know TS client licenses are free *IF* the client is = 2000, but what if it's dos?=20 Jesse Rink Network Engineer Whitnall School District 414-525-8461 =20 -----Original Message----- From: Tony Lyne (Computerland) [mailto:Tony.Lyne@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]=20 Sent: Wednesday, January 15, 2003 3:44 PM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Re: automatically go to term services logon after boot? Yes and have had no problems with it. You just need to watch out for =3D memory management of the TSR's as they can quickly chew up your base memory =3D before the ICA client has loaded. Use emm386 etc and load everything high and include as much unused =3D upper memory blocks as possible such as e000-efff on some machines =3D (especially older ones). I'm wondering if I should look into the Citrix ICA client for DOS. Has = =3D =3D3D anyone used this before? =3D3D20 My goal here would be to make it so the user HAS to log in to the =3D3D terminal server/citrix box and has no other options. I don't want them = =3D =3D3D playing around in the PC's operating system at all. A thin client =3D3D device is not an option due to cost, I need to re-use my current PC = =3D3D hardware. Maybe the Citrix DOS client would work. Claudio's DOS =3D client =3D3D is real nice, but it's terminal server only and chances are I'll likely = =3D =3D3D grow into a load balanced farm with Citrix, not just terminal server.
