[THIN] XP plug and play

We have started to roll XP machines out to the shop floor.  This is against
my wishes, but over my head.  Anyway, we manually created the printers, use
specific drivers, etc.  Trouble is, I keep getting a Lexmark 4227 Forms
printer, even when I delete it, log out, back in, it's back.  WE chose to
create a queue on LPT1 using the Epson DFX-5000 driver, as that is our
standard.  I want that one only, but the 4227 keeps recreating on the
client.  Ideas on how to turn off the fancy plug and play feature?
