[THIN] Weird dns issue

We have finally nailed down a problem we were having with clients showing a
"server cannot be located" message.  The thin clients when attempting to
connect to a published app called Desktop, are querying DNS for
desltop.domainname and not surprising are unsuccessful in locating it.  I
entered a host name for desktop and everything worked fine.  Anyone else
seen this type of thing?  Why is it querying dns for a record of itself?
