[THIN] Re: Volvo View

Thanks Lucas,

I will definitely check the newest version. We don't have AS/400 so that
shouldn't be the issue.

Thanks again,
Carla

Carla,

I have a client using Volo View accross a fairly large manufacturing
implementation of MS Terminal Server 2000. While not Citrix, with all of
its quarks, TS is fairly similar and I would suppose you should have an easy
time of it installing and making it work. We just installed it for our
client with no strings attached. It went smoothly on. As far as the
problem that you are seeing, some suggestions if I may be so
bold:
1.) Make sure you have downloaded the newest version.
2.) Does your implementation use any special access software for an AS/400
or other specialized system. If so, make sure the access software you are
using is compliant with Citrix standards. We had a problem with
non-compliant software used for accessing an AS/400 which kept making our TS
server do really wierd things.
3.) Make sure you have the lastest patches you are comfortable with on your
servers for Windows, Citrix, etc.

Hope this helps.

        Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has used volvo view from Autocad on their
Citrix servers. We use it to view our engineering drawings from Oracle.
The problem has been that everyone once in a while, it locks up and no one
can view their drawings. I have to delete all the processes and then it
works fine. Just wondering if anyone had heard or experienced this.

        Thanks,
        Carla
