Hi,

If it's win2k, you "may" have a way out by reproducing the CLSID key entry
that the visio wizard accesses under HKCU\Software\classes\CLSID. The other
option is to de-protect the appropriate CLSID entry under HKCR. However, as
for some custom outlook form OLE registration, this is only a partial answer
since it will only work if a small number of users are using the visio
wizards on any one server.

It's worth thinking about Windows server 2003, where this is no longer a
problem. If I don't have rights to HKCR, the registration will automatically
be redirected to HKCU\Software\Classes. Ie. No more OLE registration issues.

We have had Visio2000 standard installed on our TS boxes for years.

Client just tried to run one of the wizards (Network Diagram Wizard) that I
think came with network diagrams add on.

I won't load.  I get an OLE automation error.  Says make sure VaoUtils.dll
is installed and registered.

It is there.  Can't re register under user rights.  Did  it with admin
rights registers fine.

Wizard runs fine with Admin rights.

Checked MS.  Found two articals that say Visio was written to run under
Admin rights.  Good thinking. (267253 and 277926)  

My quesiton is has anyone found a workaround for this?  There are other
wizards that run and others that don't.

I tried to figure out if it was just a Hive security issue that I could open
up but had no luck.

Really could use some help with this one.
