Thanks or the good info.

The last of Lonnie's thread [correct me if I'm wrong, Lonnie] said that
this product [I believe it was called the "Self-Hosting" version]
was discontinued due to lack of interest. In a demo of AutoCAD
to some TRW system admins, I mentioned this product to the=20
sales/techs and they weren't even aware of its existence.

I have read a little about the AutoCad thread that Lonnie had done and =
from
my understanding AutoDesk (Autocad 2002) has a product designed for =
Terminal
Services. Am I correct and does anyone have any information the release =
#
or the official name of that product?

Thanks.

Visio "runs". Like anything else, it's a matter of balance. One
instance of Visio will not kill the server. If 10 people
decide to edit their [complicated] drawings, there would be
a problem. That hasn't happened yet on my 100 user server
but that's not to say it won't. For people who regularly
need Visio, I suggest a dedicated PC.

AutoCAD is a different story: the full on version [not Lite]
has a 2 instance restriction on any one device, thereby
eliminating terminal server as a useful alternative. Lonnie
Trukowski has the info on that thread.

Yes, don't. Has anyone run graphically intensive programs like Visio
or Autocad sucessfully on a Citrix server?
